A “Doing Meditation”

Mary:
In our reading in A Course in Miracles this morning, this prayer stood out:

Father, our Name is Yours. In It we are united with all living things, and You Who are their one Creator. What we made and call by many different names is but a shadow we have tried to cast across Your Own Reality. And we are glad and thankful we were wrong. All our mistakes we give to You, that we may be absolved from all effects our errors seemed to have. And we accept the truth You give, in place of every one of them. Your Name is our salvation and escape from what we made. Your Name unites us in the oneness which is our inheritance and peace. Amen. (W-pI.184.15)

My practice for today is to turn over my mistaken thoughts of individuality to the Holy Spirit and be open to receive the truth of Love’s oneness instead. This is how I let my belief in separation be replaced so that my barriers to Love are undone. Peace returns with this practice of forgiving dreams of separation. This is how I accept our one true Identity, one minute at a time. And I give thanks for the joy this practice gives me.


Robert:
When I have a lot of little details to do, it helps me to make a list. With this list, I stay more peaceful by letting Holy Spirit guide me with what to do and when. On my own, I can look at all the details and overwhelm myself. But when I step back and let Holy Spirit be my Guide, it becomes a “doing meditation.”

The doing becomes a means to practice remembering the Presence of the Holy Spirit, my true Self, the center of peace within. Instead of being a grind to get through the many details of the day, the experience becomes a blessing of remembering the quiet Love that is my true Nature. Today is a day to practice this “doing” meditation and remember that only Love is real.
