A Lesson in Love

Robert:
A Course in Miracles tells us not to mistake the body for the Son of God. To me this means that neither my body nor the appearance of other bodies has anything to do with What the Son of God is. ACIM also tells us that the body is the ego’s chosen home. It is the basis for all judgment and guilt. Since God is Love and nothing else and His Son is the extension of Love which is eternally innocent, judgment and the perception of guilt must be in the domain of the body and the ego.

The task of the Holy Spirit in my mind is to teach me to recognize that no form has any meaning and therefore has no value. Value lies only in the changeless Love that is the one Self I share with all. It is in identifying with this Self, which cannot be seen with the body’s eyes, that I experience the quiet joy that is my natural state. This state is accepted as I let go of judgment, let go of identifying with the body as what I am.

So today my practice is to let go of judgment by choosing to let the Holy Spirit judge on my behalf and show me the reality of Love that is everywhere. The more I accept this lesson, the happier I will be.

Today I have the opportunity to remember that I rest in God eternally… I have the opportunity to remember that everyone rests in God eternally… I have the opportunity to remember that this is the truth and not the continuous flow of stories the ego mind generates… I have the opportunity to remember that all is well and nothing change the pure Love that the Son of God is… The whole Sonship (which includes everyone in this world) is wholly innocent, wholly pure and wholly blessed — right now and forever… What a wonderful opportunity I have today!
