Being a Friend to the World

How can we be a true Friend? We let Holy Spirit guide our perceptions so that we perceive only the truth in our brothers. We see no brother as a body, but only God’s loving extension. If we become distracted by an appearance in the world, we let the Holy Spirit gently correct our misperception so that once again we see past the form to the truth of Love. This is true honesty. A true friend is always honest with his brother. To see a brother as a body is dishonest because it is accepting a deception in place of the truth of our oneness in Love.

As we walk through this day our practice is to let the Holy Spirit show us the truth behind all appearances. And if we get caught up in reacting to appearances, we quickly turn to the Voice for God within for His gentle correction. This is how we will be a Friend to the world.
