Happiness and Peace are Present Now

Robert:
Two lessons from the Workbook stand out to me, “I rest in God” and “The peace of God is shining in me now.” Happiness and peace are present now. They cannot be found in the past or future because the past and future do not exist. The appearance of a world is built upon images of the past and therefore does not exist in reality. If I want to rest in God’s peace, I must be willing to let go of the past, to forgive. This is how I clear away the barriers to the awareness of Love’s presence now.

Everything the body’s eyes shows me reminds me of the past. I label everything with names and meaning from the past. But believing in these images the body’s eyes show me blocks my awareness of the joy of now. I don’t need to deny that I see the world through the body’s eyes. But I do need to step back from the labels and meanings I give these images and let the Holy Spirit be my Interpreter on my behalf. He will teach me how to see the Love beyond the form, the unity beyond the images of separation.

Today my practice is to interpret nothing on my own and let the Holy Spirit guide me in each moment.

As I go to the Holy Spirit this morning and listen for Holy Spirit’s insight in how to be truly helpful, this is what I receive:

As you go through your day, just remember that you rest in God. Let that feeling of rest come into your mind and permeate the present moment. Let that feeling of quietness and peace be present in your mind. Receive these gifts from Me as you walk through your day. Return to the fact that you rest in God right now for eternity. Let yourself feel the gratitude that comes with accepting the truth of What you are and Where you are eternally.
