Having a Happy Day

I want today to be a happy day. This is the same as saying that I want this to be a day of accepting and extending Love, because happiness and joy are attributes of Love. We accept God’s gift of Love by extending His Love.

We cannot look to the ego for help with extending Love, because the ego is the denial of Love. But the Holy Spirit in our mind is ever present, ready to guide us in the way of Love, as we are willing.

Today is a day to practice opening our mind to the Holy Spirit’s guidance. As we accept His help, our doing in the world will extend God’s Love in forms that can be received. We need not worry how this is done. We need only focus our attention on following the loving lead of the Holy Spirit moment by moment. With this practice we will have a happy day.
