How to Have a Happy Day

Robert:
In our reading in A Course Miracles today, this is what stood out to me in Workbook Lesson 294: “Let me, then, use this dream to help Your plan that we awaken from all dreams we made.” (W-pII.294.2:3)

This sums up what everything I experience in the world is for. Everything in the world is meaningful only to the extent that it serves the awakening of God’s Son from the dream of separation. No matter what detours we may follow, this prayer is in the heart of everyone, because we all want to be happy. True happiness is found only in awakening to the oneness of Love.

Today I dedicate to using every interaction, every situation, every experience to serve God’s plan of awakening. This is how I will have a happy day.

Mary:
The way I serve God’s plan is to accept God’s peace all through the day. On my own, I do not know what anything is for. I need to be as a little child and be open to Holy Spirit’s guidance all through the day. This takes vigilance. Asking myself frequently, “What do I want to come from this?” and making the choice to follow and not lead, helps me be open to God’s plan. Following only God’s plan is all I want today.
