Learning to Distinguish Hell from Heaven

Robert:
No matter what the appearance of my activities in the world, there is only one underlying purpose the Holy Spirit sees in it: It is a means for undoing or forgiving the past. When only the loving thoughts of the past are remembered, forgiveness is complete. It is then just one small step across the bridge to Heaven.

As I look at my day to day experiences, I see that each moment offers an opportunity to see it overlaid with my past experiences, and thus not see it as it is, or to accept Holy Spirit’s vision of it. With Holy Spirit’s vision I see it as it is, clean and free of the past, shining in the Light of Love. One choice repeats hell. The other choice leads to Heaven. H-m-m… which would I rather have?

It is surprising how often I choose hell because I see something I value more than Heaven. I am grateful for Holy Spirit’s curriculum that gently and consistently teaches me to distinguish the thoughts that make hell seem appealing from the gift that Heaven is. I am blessed with another day to learn Holy Spirit’s lessons.

Holy Spirit to Mary:
Stay in the now moment… Relax… and be open to the truth. Let yourself remember that only Love is real… Let everything but Love be washed away… Practice receiving the truth with Me today… Practice receiving My happiness and joy.
