Let Love Decide

You have the right to all the universe; to perfect peace, complete deliverance from all effects of sin, and to the life eternal, joyous and complete in every way, as God appointed for His holy Son. This is the only justice Heaven knows, and all the Holy Spirit brings to earth. Your special function shows you nothing else but perfect justice can prevail for you. And you are safe from vengeance in all forms. The world deceives, but it cannot replace God’s justice with a version of its own. For only love is just, and can perceive what justice must accord the Son of God. Let love decide, and never fear that you, in your unfairness, will deprive yourself of what God’s justice has allotted you. (A Course in Miracles T-25.VIII.14)

To let Love decide we must let Holy Spirit guide our decisions. The ego thought system has no clue what Love is and can offer only specialness as a substitute. Yet specialness always brings with it guilt and belief in sin. But if we allow Holy Spirit to guide all our decisions, all guilt will disappear. We are relieved of the responsibility of trying to grasp all the effects of a decision on everyone, everywhere and in all of time. This is beyond our grasp but wholly within the Holy Spirit’s wisdom.

We can relax into the Holy Spirit’s guidance in all our decisions. Relieved of the weight of making decisions based on incomplete information, we can accept the grace of Love’s gifts of peace and happiness. When we let Love decide, we learn of our innocence and our safety. We learn of the certainty of Love’s care for us. And we experience the joy of joining with all our brothers in the peace of Heaven. All this is given us when we let Love decide.
