Offering Peace Is Receiving Peace

In our reading of A Course in Miracles this morning, this stood out to me:

To give is to receive. Today we will attempt to offer peace to everyone, and see how quickly peace returns to us. Light is tranquility, and in that peace is vision given us, and we can see. …To give and to receive are one in truth. I will receive what I am giving now. …To everyone I offer quietness. To everyone I offer peace of mind. To everyone I offer gentleness. (W-pI.108.7:3-5,8:2-3,6-8)

This is teaching me very clearly that, when I offer peace to everyone, I am receiving peace; when I offer gentleness to everyone, I am receiving gentleness. If I want to be happy today, my opportunity is to give peace and happiness to everyone I see or even think of. This is how I receive happiness. Oh happy day!

Robert:
I am grateful for the joy of peace. I am grateful for the comfort peace brings. I am grateful for the vision that peace welcomes, which looks past all images and shows me the Love that is everywhere. I am grateful for the core of peace that is the truth in me, ever present, waiting only upon my welcome. Today I choose to welcome peace.
