One Step at a Time with Holy Spirit

In our reading this morning in A Course in Miracles, this is what stood out:

Then let our brothers lean their tired heads against our shoulders as they rest a while. We offer thanks for them. For if we can direct them to the peace that we would find, the way is opening at last to us. An ancient door is swinging free again; a long forgotten Word re-echoes in our memory, and gathers clarity as we are willing once again to hear. (W-pI.195.7)

I am reminded once again how important willingness to hear the Holy Spirit’s perspective is to my waking up from the dream. My willingness to hear accelerates as I am more and more willing to accept peace instead of judgment and conflict. Minute-by-minute I have the opportunity to hear the message of the truth from my true Self.

Today I have another opportunity to be willing once again to hear. I can tell how am doing with this by the level of peace and contentment I feel. Easy does it… one step at a time with Holy Spirit guiding the way. And I give thanks.

Robert:
Discontent is a sure sign that I am defending against God’s Will and therefore denying my own true Will. I have chosen instead a wish to have my own way, to separate off from the Source of my completion. The sense of incompletion that comes with this wish further magnifies the discontent. Contentment can never be found within the wish to be separate from my completion.

Discontentment is inevitable when I identify with being a body because the body is a limit that makes the appearance of being separate from God’s completion seem real. As long as I give credence to the seeming reality of any form, I will be discontent. Only God’s limitless, changeless Love can content the Son of God.

Today I will be vigilant for signs of discontent and bring them to the Holy Spirit to let His loving Light shine upon them to show me there is no cause for discontent. I remain as Love created me. As I remember this I remember that I remain complete and whole, changelessly one with my loving Father. I am grateful that this is so.
