Remembering Our Identity in Love

I feel the Love of God within me now.

The Love of God is what created me. The Love of God is
everything I am. The Love of God proclaimed me as His
Son. The Love of God within me sets me free.

I am not a body. I am free.
For I am still as God created me. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 209, W-pI.209. See also ACIM Lesson 209 Insights.)

Our experience in the world is that we are bodies with individual identities. But if we are not a body and still as God created us, then we must be God’s Creation, His one Son, and nothing else. God is only Love so we must be Love and nothing else. As we disidentify with a separate identity attached to a body, we identify with the Love of God. An appearance of anything else is a call for Love. We answer the call for Love by seeing past appearances to the Love that is ever present. We overlook what is not real to join with the Reality of Love in our brother and with God.

As we identify with the Love we are, we feel God’s strength and peace. We feel God’s joy. Our experience in the world is transformed from isolation and loneliness to oneness with the Reality of Love. Our peace cannot be disturbed. Our joy is unlimited, for we have remembered our unity with our Creator. We are filled with gratitude that this Reality can never change in truth.
