Rise Above to See the Love

We hold [the world] purposeless within our minds, and loosen it from all we wish it were. Thus do we lift the chains that bar the door to freedom from the world, and go beyond all little values and diminished goals.

Pause and be still a little while, and see how far you rise above the world, when you release your mind from chains and let it seek the level where it finds itself at home. It will be grateful to be free a while. It knows where it belongs. But free its wings, and it will fly in sureness and in joy to join its holy purpose. Let it rest in its Creator, there to be restored to sanity, to freedom and to love.

Everyone in the world wants to be happy. But if we seek for lasting happiness in the world, we will not find it. This is because the world we see is the denial of the Source of true happiness. In our creation, Love gave us all of Itself. And Love brings with it limitless joy. This joy is already ours. But seeking happiness in the world blinds us to the joy that is already ours.

The way to open to Love’s gift of joy is to let ourselves rise above the world by letting go of any value we give to things in the world. These values are barriers to the awareness of Love’s Presence. Today we are willing to let the Holy Spirit help us rise above to see the Love. Love is there to be seen as we lay down the values we have given to the world.
