The Only Meaning Behind All Form

Robert:
Today we read the section, “The Truth behind Illusions” in the Text of A Course in Miracles. What stood out to me was, “They [illusions, the ego] must be neither cherished nor attacked, but merely looked upon as children’s toys without a single meaning of their own. See one [meaning] in them and you will see them all. See none in them and they will touch you not.” (T-30.IV.4:9-11)

This is a very simple, clear prescription to lead me out of the dream and back to the Home which I never truly left. There is nothing in this world of value to me. If I cherish any form, the whole world appears real. If I defend against or attack any form, the world seems very real. But when I see no meaning in any form of the world, I am free. No form attracts me nor threatens me.

The way is cleared for me to remember Where I am and What I am. All I need do to let go of the world is decide that I do not want whatever any form seems to offer me. All I really want is the Love of God, because all I really want is to be my Self. They are the same. It is my will to be Love and nothing else.

I have a long list of forms in the world that I think would comfort me or make me happy or safe. But this list is just a list of meaningless forms. Happiness and comfort and safety are already mine in the Love of God. All I need to do is recognize the meaninglessness of all forms and I will experience certainty and joy and peace beyond anything imaginable in the world. Today I will practice keeping my mind and heart open to the Love that is the only meaning behind all form.

Mary:
Today gives me another opportunity to practice choosing to accept God’s peace. Today I will practice stepping back and following Holy Spirit’s lead. In truth I am at Home in the Mind of God. I open my mind to accept the truth today.
