Valuing the Truth

There is a verse in the Bible which says, “This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Remembering that God did not create time, this message can be restated as, “God created the eternal present. Let us accept the eternal present and rejoice in God’s perfect happiness.”

All the turmoil, discord and unhappiness of the world is the effect of denying the eternal present — God’s gift of perfect happiness. The way to redirect my attention from the conflicts of the past is to focus on dwelling in the present peace within. This is my practice for today. This is how I will rejoice and be glad that I remain in God’s perfect happiness.

Let me not deny God today. Let me accept the truth instead of illusions. I will experience the truth when I value the truth more than illusions. I will see oneness more than division and separation.

I will experience happiness when I value God’s Love more than the ego’s substitute for love. My true Home lies not in specialness, but in remembering that everyone is the same Love and that there are no differences. Practicing this today is what will make it a happy day.
