We Never Walk Alone

In peace we will continue in [Holy Spirit’s] way, and trust all things to Him. In confidence we wait His answers, as we ask His Will in everything we do. He loves God’s Son as we would love him. And He teaches us how to behold [God’s Son] through His eyes, and love him as He does. You do not walk alone. God’s angels hover near and all about. His Love surrounds you, and of this be sure; that I will never leave you comfortless. (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.Ep.6:2-8)

The world seems to be a lonely place where we are isolated and separate from everything. In truth, we have never succeeded in separating from our Source. God is always with us. And in the dream of separation, we have the Holy Spirit with us as an unbreakable Link with our Source. His help is available to us in every moment. He reminds us that we are always loved. He shares His certainty and vision with us to help us see past the mistaken images of the world to the changeless Presence of Love that surrounds us and is in us.

We open our awareness to the Presence of our Comforter by relaxing into peace. As we redirect our minds from the chaos of the world to the quiet certainty of the Holy Spirit within, we are reminded that we always have the help we need in each moment. His Love will direct us to be truly helpful and to see past seeming causes for fear and guilt to the recognition that nothing has really happened to change the Self we are — God’s cherished Son.
