Willingness to Accept Christ’s Vision

As I read A Course in Miracles, I’m getting it more and more clearly that the body’s eyes are incapable of showing me the truth. The body was made out of the denial of truth. It is incapable of perceiving the truth. Because I seem to be in a body, experiencing the world through its senses, it’s very tempting to believe its messages.

The Course is not asking me to deny that I have these temptations. But it is encouraging me to bring these temptations to the Holy Spirit in my mind with a willingness to be shown what they truly are. The Holy Spirit is there to show me what is really there through Christ’s vision. The eyes of Christ see the truth beyond the images of the world. They are forgiving eyes that have let the past go.

The path to freedom and happiness is to redirect my attention from the messages of the body to the vision of Christ, which is the vision of our true Self. This is the way to happiness. This is how I clear the way for the Light of Love to shine through and show me that Love is everywhere to be seen. There is nothing else to see. Today is another happy day of practice in letting the vision of Christ replace the image making of the ego.
