All I Really Want Is the Peace of God

Robert:
All I really want is the peace of God. I want to remember that I am at Home in Love. When I am identified with the ego thought system, I still look for Love and peace. But the ego directs me to look where it can’t be found. All my judgments and opinions are simply statements about where I think I can find peace and happiness. I will be at peace if this situation looks the way I want it. I will feel loved if that person behaves the way I want them to. The list goes on and on, for the ego can make up myriad forms to substitute for the one, united Love of God.

But all I really want is the peace of God. God has already given me everything that He is. To recognize this I must accept it. To accept it I must let go of the ego made substitutes that simply delay and divert my awareness of the ever present peace that is in me. Forgiveness is the way that I let go of those false substitutes and welcome God’s gift.

And so today is another day for the moment-by-moment practice of laying all my ideas about how anything should be or look in the hands of the Holy Spirit. with willingness to receive His vision. I give thanks for the voice for God in my mind always ready to show me the way to experience the peace of God.

Mary:
Today my practice is to keep my mind open to the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. I see a picture of an open door with Light streaming through. This Light brings peace to my mind and I remember that everything is all right. We are all safe in God’s one Mind of Love. Remembering this consistently is what today is for. And I give thanks.
