Living from Our Center of Peace

Let this day be a day of stillness and of quiet listening… His Voice awaits your silence, for His Word can not be heard until your mind is quiet for a while, and meaningless desires have been stilled. Await His Word in quiet. There is peace within you to be called upon today, to help make ready your most holy mind to hear the Voice for its Creator speak. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.125.1:1;6:2-4)

The Course does not ask us to spend the day in silent contemplation. But it does ask us to stay in touch with the center of peace within us while we go about our day. As we maintain connection with our center of peace, our minds are open to the inspiration of His Voice.

From that center of peace, the meaning of all our doing comes from the remembrance of our true Identity, our unity with all in the Love of God. From that perspective, we see no need for defense, all judgment is laid aside and all our doing brings with it the blessing of God’s Love extended through us. This is our purpose. This is what gives meaning to all our doing. This is how forgiveness makes way for the awareness of Love’s presence within us all. This is our focus for today.
